Projet GH is an independent construction and renovation consulting practice serving homeowners in Greater Montreal.

This policy explains what personal information is collected through this website, why it is collected, how it is protected and what rights you have over it.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly: your name, email address, telephone number, preferred contact method and preferred language; the city, postal code, property type and approximate year of construction of the property concerned; the type of project, its stage, your budget range and timeline; the description of your project and any question you send us.

Documents you choose to upload: contractor quotes and estimates, plans, drawings, inspection reports and photographs of the property.

Technical information collected automatically: pages visited, approximate date and time of the visit, referring page, and general information about your browser and device.

We do not knowingly collect information from minors and we do not ask for financial account details, payment card numbers or government identification numbers through this website.

Why we collect it

To respond to your request and to advise you on your project, which is the purpose for which the information is provided.

To review the documents you send as part of the consulting service you have requested.

To contact you about your request using the method you selected.

To maintain internal records of the requests received and the advice provided, and to meet applicable legal and accounting obligations.

To understand how the website is used, in aggregate, in order to improve it.

Consent

You provide your information voluntarily when you complete a form on this site. Submitting a form constitutes your consent for Projet GH to contact you regarding your request and to use the information for the purposes described in this policy.

Your information is not used for any purpose that is materially different from the one for which it was collected without obtaining your consent first.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at info@projetgh.com. Withdrawing consent may prevent us from continuing to provide the consulting service you requested.

Documents you upload

Documents uploaded through this website are treated as confidential. They are stored privately and access is restricted to the persons who need it in order to respond to your request.

Your documents are never published, never sold, and never shared publicly. They are not provided to contractors, suppliers or any other third party without your instruction.

Documents are not used in marketing material, case studies or examples on this website unless you have given your express, separate and specific consent.

Storage and security

Information and documents are stored using recognized service providers, with access controls, encrypted transmission and restricted administrative access.

Some of these service providers may store or process data outside Quebec, including in other Canadian provinces or in the United States. Where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information receives an appropriate level of protection.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Hosting and storage providers used: our website and application hosting provider (Vercel), our database provider (Neon), and our encrypted document storage (Vercel Blob).

How long we keep it

Personal information and documents are kept only as long as necessary for the purposes for which they were collected, or as required by applicable law.

Requests that do not result in an engagement are kept for a limited period so that we can respond to any follow-up, then destroyed or anonymized.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not publish it.

Information may be shared with service providers acting on our behalf — for example hosting, secure file storage and email delivery — solely to the extent necessary for them to provide those services.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law, by a court order, or by a competent authority.

Your documents and project details are not shared with contractors, suppliers or any commercial partner. Projet GH does not receive referral fees and has no commercial relationship with contractors.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies: those strictly necessary for the site to function, such as remembering your language and preserving your progress in a form; and, where enabled, measurement tools that help us understand how the site is used in aggregate.

Analytics data is used in aggregate to improve the website. It is not used to build advertising profiles about you as an individual.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site, including the intake form, from working correctly.

Measurement and advertising tools in use: No analytics or advertising tools are currently active on this site. If measurement tools are added, this policy will be updated before they are enabled.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, and to obtain a copy of it.

You have the right to have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected.

You may ask that your information be deleted, subject to the retention obligations that apply to us.

You may withdraw your consent to further communications at any time.

Requests are answered within the time limit prescribed by applicable Quebec legislation.
