Why Projet GH
The expertise is on your side of the table.
In a renovation, almost everyone you speak to has an interest in the work going ahead. That is not a criticism — it is how the industry is built. It does mean that the one voice missing from the table is often the one advising only you.
Projet GH is that voice. No construction work, no subcontracting, no referral fees, no commercial relationship with any contractor. The only thing being sold is the analysis you asked for.
No construction sales pressure
Projet GH does not perform, subcontract or supervise construction work, and does not accept referral fees, commissions or any other compensation from contractors, suppliers or trades.
That structure is the product. Because no outcome of your project pays Projet GH more than another, the advice has no reason to lean toward a bigger scope, a faster signature or a particular company.
Clear explanations
Construction has its own vocabulary, and quotes are written in it. Allowance, provisional sum, lump sum, exclusion, owner-supplied — each of those words carries money, and each one is explained plainly when it appears in your documents.
The measure of a good consultation is simple: afterwards, you can make the argument yourself. The goal is never to keep the expertise on our side of the conversation.
You stay in control
You choose the contractor. You approve the scope. You sign the contract. Projet GH does not act on your behalf, does not negotiate for you and does not manage your site.
What changes is the quality of the information behind each of those decisions — and, usually, the quality of the conversation you have with the professionals doing the work.
Two different roles
A renovation needs a contractor. It sometimes also needs someone whose only job is to read the paperwork. The distinction below is about function — good contractors are essential to any project that gets built.
| General contractor | Projet GH | |
|---|---|---|
| Primary role | Plans and performs the construction work | Advises the homeowner before and during the project |
| Provides | Labour, materials, trades, scheduling and site execution | Document review, cost guidance, comparison and second opinions |
| Relationship to the work | Financially involved in the work being built | Independent of the work being built |
Projet GH helps homeowners communicate and decide more effectively when working with construction professionals. Clearer documents and better questions make projects easier for everyone involved — contractors included.
Bring the question you have been going in circles on.
A quote you cannot read, a budget you are unsure of, a change order that surprised you — an independent read is available, in French or English.
