Send the contractor quote exactly as you received it — a PDF, a scan, or a photo taken on your phone. It is read line by line, against the project you actually described.
You get back a plain-language summary: what the document covers, how the pricing is structured, what appears to be missing, and the specific questions worth putting in writing before you commit.
What Projet GH looks at
- Scope — what work the document actually commits the contractor to
- Pricing — how the total is built, and whether it is itemized or lump sum
- Materials — what is specified, and what is left open
- Allowances — the amounts set aside for choices you have not made yet
- Exclusions — what has been explicitly placed outside the price
- Missing items — the work commonly required that this quote does not mention
- Payment structure — deposits, progress payments and holdbacks
- Questions to ask — a written list you can send straight to your contractor
What a quote review is not
- It is not a construction estimate and not a competing quote.
- It is not an engineering opinion or a structural assessment.
- It is not legal advice on your contract or on any dispute.
- It is not an evaluation, endorsement or rating of the contractor.
- It is not a guarantee of pricing, workmanship or project outcome.
